ABOUT
Yongqi Wu was born in China and began studying the guzheng, a traditional Chinese plucked string instrument, at the age of five. Her early engagement with Chinese traditional instruments and ethnic minority music profoundly shaped her later work. As she matured, she broadened her musical expertise to include piano, opera, ethnic vocals, and guitar. This diverse musical foundation, combined with her passion for music, naturally led her to a career in composition.
Yongqi completed her bachelor's degree at Berklee College of Music in Boston, where she double majored in Media Scoring and Composition, with minors in Musical Theater Writing and Conducting. During her time at Berklee, she had the privilege of studying under Grammy and Emmy Award-winning composer Claudio Ragazzi and esteemed American composer Andrew List. In addition to her academic studies, Yongqi gained practical experience as a recording engineer for the Berklee Film Scoring Orchestra and served as a music tutor at the college.
After graduating, Yongqi founded her own independent music studio, “Titan Music Studio,” where she specializes in composing music for film and video games. Her work has been showcased at numerous international film festivals, and video games are available on platforms such as Steam, iOS, and Android, receiving widespread acclaim.
With a deep love for music and extensive experience, Yongqi continues to innovate and explore, bringing a unique voice and style to the fields of film and game music. Her compositions not only showcase her creative talent but also reflect her unwavering dedication to the art of music.
